My travel to Chernivtsi
In September 2017, I had the opportunity to visit an ancient city called Chernivtsi. This city impressed me with its beauty and magnificent architectural monuments.
If You want to stay in this city for a few days, you have to choose a hotel in which you will stay. Zhanet Hotel offers rooms with a private balcony, 24-hour front desk and free Wi-Fi for only $11 per night. The most expensive hotel in Chernivtsi is a hotel in Bukovina for $58 per night. This hotel is located in the center of Chernivtsi, a short walk from Taras Shevchenko Park and Chernivtsi Botanical Gardens. It features an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and free Wi-Fi. If comfort is not important for you and you do not want to spend a lot of money, you can stay at a hostel for only $4-9 per night.
Chernivtsi National University we can safely call the most prominent building of this city, which in the past was the Residence of Orthodox Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia. People from many countries come to Chernivtsi to look at this luxurious building.
Chernivtsi National University
Inside we can see wide corridors, wooden ceilings and marble floors. You will find luxurious halls, in which the metropolitan arranged an audience for the high guests and where the diocesan meetings took place. The Marble Hall of this university is considered the most beautiful in Europe.
On the other side of the university there is a church of Three Saints. Above the decoration of this temple worked several high-level specialists. The church was painted by painter-professor from Vienna Carl Yobst. His brush includes tempered paintings with biblical plots.

There is also a dendrological park near the university. It was created in 1876 and covers an area of 4.8 hectares. There are about a hundred species of bushes and trees growing there. The park has a swimming pool, decorative cave and alleys. The park is surrounded by a wall of 3 meters high. There you can see not only exotic trees, but also maple, oak, lime, willow.
Very popular among tourists is the Kobylianska St., which is the only pedestrian street in the city. Located in the city of Pervomayskogo district. It starts with the Central Square and ends at the intersection with Taras Shevchenko Street. It arose in the 1940's and 1950's. The modern name - from November 27, 1940, in honor of the famous Ukrainian writer Olga Kobilyanska.
There is a museum of local lore, where the largest collection of memorials of Bukovina is stored, including archeological materials, ancient printing, weapons and many other things. The hall of organ and chamber music, the former Armenian-Catholic temple, another creation by architect I. Golka. Opposite the church is a unique object of the Kobylianska Street in Chernivtsi - the Ukrainian People's House, which was opened in 1887.

Immediately at the beginning of the street in 1898 there was a magnificent stone building, which was located an elite coffee shop "Habsburg". Later, the Club of Coffee Fans was founded. The structure of the former "Habsburg" coffee shop is extremely beautiful. Today in this building is the management of the National Bank of Ukraine.
You can enjoy the beauty of this sophisticated street, have a cup of coffee in one of the cafes, or sit back with your friends and listen to the pleasant music of local musicians.
Restaurant "Panska Gurlinna" is a very cozy place. A feature of this institution is a wide range of tinctures and flavors in the bar menu. This establishment is ideal for romantic meetings, business meetings and high profile companies to celebrate any event.
I visited a cafe called "Lvivskie krjasany", which is very popular among young people. In this place you can choose croissant with any filling and drink delicious lemonade.
Walking along the streets of this city, I can only say one thing. If you want to see a city with a unique architecture and a cozy atmosphere - Chernivtsi is exactly for you!
