Petro Poroshenko opened the Ukrainian Park in VilniusDuring his working visit to Lithuania, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took part in the solemn opening of the Ukrainian Park in Vilnius.

Petro Poroshenko reminded that during the visit of President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė to Ukraine in December 2016, she had opened the Lithuanian Park in Kyiv.

"Today, during my visit to Lithuania, we have a great honor to open the Ukrainian Park in Vilnius next to the monument to Taras Shevchenko," Petro Poroshenko said.

"This is very symbolic, because one cannot imagine better relations between the countries than now between Ukraine and Lithuania. One cannot imagine better relations between the Ukrainian and Lithuanian peoples. Our meeting today is a vivid confirmation of this," the President noted.

"And the most important thing is that the unique relationship between people is a vivid confirmation of strategic partnership between our two states and our two nations," the President said.

The Head of the Ukrainian State thanked Lithuania for its solid support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
