Agronomic Consultation Day at School of Economics for Agroleaders
On March 22, 2018, School of Economics for Agroleaders of Kherson State Agricultural University hosted the Agronomic Consultation Day attended by students, post-graduate students and faculty members of the Agronomy Faculty.
Professor Averchev O.V., Vice-rector for scientific research, Doctor of agricultural sciences, familiarized the participants with the training program of the Israeli International Cooperation Agency MASHAV, which aims to train qualified specialists and introduce modern technologies.
Boris Bordman, a leading agronomy consultant, Master of Agricultural Engineering, consultant of the Ministry of Agriculture of Israel, presented a lecture on fundamentals of plant protection equipment and technology.
At the beginning of his presentation, Boris Bordman noted that the profession of an agronomist is the most humane in the world, the language of agriculture brings together countries and continents, and it is impossible to achieve success without the introduction of intensive technologies, coordinated cooperation of agricultural producers, scientific advisers and researchers.
The speaker highlighted the following issues: efficient use of machines and equipment, including robots, in plant cultivation and protection technologies; selection of methods of crop protection taking into account the species composition of pests; dependence of spraying efficiency on the dispersion of the working solution of pesticides and environmental factors; spraying quality control.
