President on the investigation into the murder of lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska: Fast reaction in the search and arrest of the suspect is a sign of efficiency of the National Police
President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with the leadership of the National Police and heard the report on the investigation into the heinous murder of lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska. “I think such a fast crime solution indicates an extremely high potential of the reformed National Police,” the President said, adding that the solution of this case “reflects credit on both the police officers and the investigators involved”.
“I would like to express gratitude for the great job, for the fast reaction,” the President noted, adding that the investigators had worked 24/7 to solve the crime. He emphasized that the solution of this crime increases public confidence in the National Police and in the authorities.
Petro Poroshenko underscored a very professional work of the investigators: “Our meeting is also an evidence of serious evidence collected by representatives of the National Police jointly with the prosecutor's office, and of the absence of any components of political PR in this heinous case”.
The President once again stressed that the murder of lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska was broadly discussed at both the Ukrainian and international level. “Fast reaction and efficient actions in the search and arrest of the suspect is a sign of efficiency of the National Police,” he said.

The Head of State emphasized that the investigation of other cases must be as effective as of this case. “You remember the notorious case of Pavlo Sheremet. We should do everything possible for the perpetrators to be brought to justice,” Petro Poroshenko said.
First Deputy Head of the National Police Vyacheslav Abroskin informed the President on the actions of the police starting from the moment of discovery of the crime. He informed on the work of the investigators, inter alia, on the processing of the information from all surveillance cameras that could help in solving this grievous crime. Vyacheslav Abroskin informed on the forensic enquiry carried out to arrest and bring charges against the suspect. He emphasized that the National Police had collected “solid and well-grounded evidence” of committing the crime.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine - Chief of the Main Investigation Department Vitaliy Nevhad and NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov.
