UkrSURT was founded in September, 1930 on the base of the Kharkiv Institute of Engineers of Railway Transport. UkrSURT is modern educational establishment of IV- level of accreditation with high international reputation in industry the worlds and scientific researches. More than 10 thousand students study at the university, including foreign students, that get a baccalaureate, master's degree or candidate of sciences.

Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy is a modern specialized educational and scientific center licensed and accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The academy is widely known outside Ukraine, it is the member of the International Organization of Engineering Pedagogics (IGIP).

Kharkiv State Academy of  Physical Culture was founded in 1979 as a sports faculty of Kyiv State Institute of Physical Culture. In 1989 the faculty was transformed into Kharkiv State Institute of Physical Culture.

The Rector is Anatolii M. Turenko who is a doctor of technical science, professor, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technic, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, academician and vice-president of the Transport Academy of Ukraine.

Rector Y.M. Shkodovs’kiy - Doctor of architecture, Professor, People’s architect of Ukraine, Actual member of the Ukrainian academy of architecture, Laureate of the State Award of Ukraine in the field of architecture, High achiever in the field of education of Ukraine.

National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» (NTU «KhPI») was founded in 1885 and now it is an inseparable part of the scientific, engineering and cultural development of Ukraine.
